Program Description:

This program is designed for the clinical staff to increase awareness of diversity issues pertinent to persons with disabilities. Videotaped comments of various individuals with disabilities are utilized to serve as discussion triggers.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this module, each participant will be able to:

Demonstrate awareness of diversity issues pertinent to persons with disabilities and its impact on everyday clinical encounters.

Demonstrate communication skills that result in more positive health outcomes for persons with disabilities.

Approved by the BRN for 1 contact hour. Provider number 14147.
