Program Description:

This program is designed for the clinical staff to increase awareness of diversity issues pertinent to the LGBT population. Videotaped comments of various patients/members representing the LGBT population are utilized to serve as discussion triggers.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this module, each participant will be able to:

Demonstrate awareness of diversity issues pertinent to the LGBT population and its impact on everyday clinical encounters.
Demonstrate communication skills that result in more positive health outcomes for the LGBT population.

Approved by the BRN for 1 contact hour. Provider number 14147.
