Program Description:

This video program is designed primarily for all health care employees who provide direct care to patients with disabilities.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, each participant will be able to:

  1. Utilize general and specific guidelines for interacting with individuals who have disabilities due to physical, sensory, and/or cognitive challenges.

  2. Incorporate the Four Habits Model in the care of members with disabilities.

  3. Demonstrate appropriate language and behavior when interacting with persons with disabilities.

Continuing Education credit:

Approved by the BRN for 1.5 contact hours. Provider number 14147.

Approved by the BBS for 1.5 contact hours. Provider number 2655.

  4. Mail or fax completed posttest and evaluation form to the Distance Learning Program. The fax number and address are on the form.

  5. Your continuing education certificate will be mailed directly to you.
