Kaiser Nurses Honored at CA Awards Event
This September, six nurses were recognized by Nursing Spectrum at their 2006 Nurse Excellence Awards dinner. Two of the nurses recognized were Deloras Jones, RN, MSN and Kathy Kelly, RN.
Deloras Jones received the Lifetime Achievement award for her contributions to the advancement of nursing. Ms. Jones graduated from Kaiser Permanente's School of Nursing and practiced at Kasier Permanente. She is currently serving as the executive director for CINHC (California Institute for Nursing & Health Care).
Kathy Kelly is a Staff Nurse III at the Walnut Creek Medical Center and received the award for Clinical Care. Her research work to test glucose levels in the pre- and post-op environment was funded by a Kasier Permanente Innovation grant and has resulted in a higher quality of patient care in this area.
Congratulations Deloras and Kathy!
