Kaiser Permanente's Hayward facility provides a broad range
of services, including NICU, Pediatrics, Med/Surg, ICU, and
Perioperative services. The facility is located in the center
of Hayward, and has easy access from Highway 880 and Highway
92.
The Hayward center provides:
A hospital equipped with 235 beds, with 35 beds in Fremont
under one license
Around 700 RNs
Around 50 LVNs
The physicians at Hayward, Fremont, and Union City work together
as a team to meet the needs of the two hospitals in Hayward
and Fremont. Together, the facilities employ approximately
450 physicians and provide service to 250,000 Kaiser Permanente
members.
Programs
The Hayward facility has been awarded worldwide Baby Friendly
designation for programs that service a Mom/Baby couplet for
recovery. In addition, the center offers many comprehensive
programs and services, including:
A Maternal Child unit with a 12 bed NICU (Level 3) Nursery.
A Pediatrics inpatient with a 20 bed unit for general
services.
Adult Services, with 112 Adult Med/Surg beds, that includes
Telemetry, Hospice and Oncology.
A Step Down unit that services 15 patients with internal
monitoring capabilities.
A state-of-the-art, 16 bed ICU unit.
Perioperative Services, including 8 ORs with modern lap
services.
New graduate programs in the Emergency Rooms, Med/Surg,
ICU, Labor and Delivery, Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and NICU
units.
