The Inpatient Nursing Quality Indicators Program (INQIP) is a California-wide program that was implemented in 2001.

The program is composed of management and labor partners and was created to provide a consistent means to measure and improve the quality of care that Kaiser Permanente provides to patients.

The current indicators include:
 • Patient Education
 • Pain Management
 • Med/Surge Functional Mobility
 • Critical Care- Sedation/Patient Safety
 • NICU - Developmental Care
 • Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum - Breastfeeding
 • Pediatrics - Immunizations

To access standardized online tools and data collecting workbooks, or to find out more information, visit the INQIP Web site.
