CareVue is a PC based Clinical Information System (CIS)
registered by Philips.
Philips describes CareVue as an electronically integrated
patient care application which collects data automatically,
organizes information, assesses and analyzes clinical data,
and communicates across the care team.
CareVue provides clinical information and electronic
documentation at the point of care … the bedside.
The CareVue documents are electronic, so multiple caregivers
can access and update the patient’s chart simultaneously.
CareVue will be available at the bedside and/or nurses’
workstation in ICU.
At initial Go-Live, the critical care flowsheet, Nursing
progress notes and Respiratory Therapy progress notes will
be available on CareVue.
CareVue functions may be expanded in future phases. Such
functions include AR, structured text for progress nots,
and care management (i.e., care plans).
