Professional and technical development through education is a priority for the Department of Nursing Administration.
We must make certain that our nurses have the most current knowledge to provide care to our members effectively and with high quality. The Practice Lead for Nursing Education and Competency directs programs to this end. Educational activities range from performing annual and department-specific competency assessments to promoting on-line programs that teach current practices to customizing staff-requested in-service education programs. A Nursing Education Committee, comprised of nurse mentors, helps guide planning and delivery of educational activities for our professional nursing staff.
